Do they make mistakes in their updates - Yes. Yesterday we sent them an email regarding a problem we were having with their latest update. Within an hour they asked to look at my client machine, via TeamViewer, and looked at what was happening, determined their was an error in their update, 'downgraded' our Server to the previous update, checked it again. It all took place in about an hour and other than ask a few permissions that I had to give them, it was all fixed - no charge.
Also, TerminalWorks doesn't have restrictions on the number of client installations. They only license the server component, so there's no restriction on you installing the client on every computer in your domain. That's what I do. Keep it simple.
Understood, but to your last statement, the TSPrint Client won't engage unless the server component is installed and initiates a job. You have to have both pieces running...so it wouldn't/shouldn't cause issues with RDC sessions to non-TSPrint servers. The client just sleeps in the background waiting for the server component to wake it up.
TSPrint is the RDP printing software for your Big Sur MyCloud enviroment. The simplicity to use and implement, paired with an affordable licensing system, makes TSPrint one of the most popular remote desktop printing solutions on the market today. Avoid installing printer drivers on your terminal server, increasing the stability of all of your servers. Start offering your clients printing directly to their local printers from your terminal server without any additional time required on your side for implementation or configuration.
In this scenario, printer redirection is not applied to the client computer. Therefore, the user cannot print to local resources by using a redirected Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) printer or a redirected Terminal Services Easy Print printer.
Problem can be solve by using TSPrint software. You have to installing the TSPrint Server on your remote desktop server and TSPrint Client on your client workstations. This will automatically enable you and your users to start printing on their local printers without any problems. TSPrint also offers additional features that come very handy when working Terminal Services/Remote Desktop.
No, this is a feature that, for security reasons, ITX has chosen to refrain from issuing to its CPA clients. ITX support personnel can, however, provide remote support through desktop sharing in the event a client needs special assistance with a process.
If you get a not available message, try to answerthe following questions: How is NIS or NIS+ set up at your site? Do you needto take additional steps so that print servers and print clients can communicatewith one another? If your site is not running NIS or NIS+, have you enteredthe IP address for the print server in each print client's /etc/hosts file, and entered all print client IP addresses in the /etc/hosts fileof the print server?
The answer is, I switched to tsprint from terminalworks. It compresses the file to PDF format before sending to the local computer printer. I chose that product solely on it working well and the price for me was right.
When run on its own, dataQueueServer works well. However, when run using a multiprocessing.Process's start() in mpquueue, it doesn't work (when tested with the client). I am using the dataQueueClient without changes to test both cases.
Adding an additional server to share a dictionary with the information of the running queue servers so that consumers can easily tell what's available where is easy enough using that model. One thing to note, though, is that the shared dictionary requires slightly different syntax than a normal dictionary: dictionary[0] = something will not work. You need to use dictionary.update([(key, value), (otherkey, othervalue)]) and dictionary.get(key) syntax, which propagates across to all other clients connected to this dictionary..
Print2RDP automatically creates a virtual printer driver for each client printer to be mapped on the terminal server. The virtual printer drivers appear as available printers and will be easily identifiable to the printing user.
Any number of printers can be automatically connected to each terminal server client session. This can optionally be restricted by the system administrator to be only the default client printer or a maximum number of client printers.
The Print2RDP unique feature allows the client to attach a printer with a static printer name. No session ID is necessary after the printer name. This unique feature is only available from Black Ice Software with Print2RDP version 6.0.
Print2RDP allows the user to have full access to the local printer driver settings via the Print2RDP Client. By turning on Printing Preferences in the client, the user's local printer driver dialog will appear prior to the print job being sent to the printer, allowing the user to change options, such as printer trays and other printer options.
Print2RDP is based on the industry leading Black Ice printer drivers and the elapsed time from pressing print from the remote client to the time the print job is delivered to the client printer. It is faster than any other product on the market.
Print2RDP automatically assigns a straightforward naming convention to associated client printers to allow users to quickly and easily locate their desired printer. Additionally, system administrators can customize the naming conventions used to meet their specific needs.
When the Add the client's default printer option is checked, the user's local default printer is automatically added to the Print2RDP Client printer list. This printer will be added to the server (and will be the default in the session) when you connect to Print2RDP Server.
When the Add every client printer option is checked, every local printer of the users is automatically added to the Print2RDP Client printer list. These printers will be added to the server when the user connects with the Print2RDP Client to the Print2RDP Server.
