Mini Sculpture Garden

Call for Sculptures

The sculpture garden has been cancelled!

As part of the workshop we're inviting researchers to submit interesting 3D models they generated with their deep vision models. We will select the most interesting objects, work with the creators to 3D-print them and display them in a "mini sculpture garden" at the workshop. We will also share them in an online sculpture garden that will stay online after the workshop.

We hope for a similar outcome to that of the Stylish Bunny IRL at the ECCV Computer Vision Art Gallery. That model was textured via style transfer techniques and ultimately manufactured into a real-life object.

These works may be supplementary to papers submitted to the workshop or may be novel creative works. We will ask submitters to provide a short description of what computer vision techniques were used as part of the generation process.

Submission Guidelines

We invite the submission of artworks created with and/or about computer vision techniques. These artworks can be part of published technical work, including at CVPR, although they are not restricted to this.

Although we are very open to the format of the pieces, we will require documentation in the form of video, stills, or a website.

To submit your artworks please complete this form by 1st of may, 2019. Please direct any questions to xavier.snelgrove AT elementai.com.

We will host an online gallery of accepted submissions, and show works at the CVPR workshop, although the exact format is still to be determined. At the workshop we will further award a prize to the top submitted artwork, as determined by the jury.
