When this Sim dies, the writer can use the book to summon them back to life. This is a surefire way of guaranteeing a resurrection, but the unpredictable nature of life and death in The Sims franchise means this might not be the best option for all players. Alternatively if your main focus is on keeping a single Sim alive this is an effective method as long as you plan in advance.

How To Resurrect A Sim In Sims 3

Veterans of The Sims 3 will remember Ambrosia, a food item that allows ghosts to come back to life. However, it takes a little more work to resurrect Sims this way in The Sims 4. To make Ambrosia, players will need a Sim with level 10 Cooking and Gourmet Cooking skills. They will also need three ingredients: a Death Flower, an Angelfish and a Potion of Youth. Those with the Realm of Magic pack can buy the Death Flower from The Magic Realm.

Added in the Romantic Garden Stuff pack, the Wishing Well has the power to bring back a ghost in the household. The deceased can make a wish which, if fully successful, will resurrect them and make them invincible to anything outside of old age for the next 24 hours in-game. Other successful outcomes will provide the ghostly Sim with ambrosia or the ingredients necessary to cook it.

There is a chance the Sim will not be resurrected at all, but the worst outcome merely resurrects the Sim only for them to die immediately again. To increase the odds of a successful outcome, the Sim should make monetary offerings to the Wishing Well (the higher the amount, the more pleased the well is likely to be). A quick look at the expression of the face on the well should be enough of an indication as to how the wish will be received.

This spell can be cast on a ghost to bring them back to the land of the living. Plus, if the Sims also knows Necrocall, they can summon a ghost from their grave, meaning the ghost doesn't need to be part of the household to be resurrected. This makes it one of the most convenient ways to bring back a Sim without much prior planning like The Book of Life method.

Updated on August 4, 2023, by Taylor Pittman: The Sims 4 is always expanding and adding new ways for Simmers to play with life by adding DLC. The Sims 4: Horse Ranch has several hidden activities and features that players must discover themselves as they explore the Expansion pack. One of these features is a new way to bring Sims back to life after they have entered the afterlife as long as their spirits haven't completely left the living world. This guide has been updated to include the new resurrection method using Nectar The Sims 4: Horse Ranch and everything players need to use it successfully to bring Sims back to life.

The Wishing Well takes offerings of different amounts, and the higher the offering, the better chance a Sims wish will be granted. If a Ghost Sim wishes for life, the Well could reject it and be angry for a little while, or it will resurrect them entirely. There's also a small chance it will gift them a random ingredient for Ambrosia rather than bring them back.

Okay, so the de-deathify spell is not working for me, and ambrosia is too difficult to do. I don't like having to permanently cheat a sim's gourmet cooking skill to work around a broken spell... Does anyone know of other ways to resurrect a Sim?

Being a mirror of real-life events, The Sims 4 lets us deal with a lot of heart-breaking stuff, including death. By now, most of us Simmers have wished for an easy way that would let us resurrect Sims back to life. And that is why we are here! In this post, we will talk all about resurrection methods in the game. We will give you all the information on how death and revival work for our Sims. By the end of this guide, you will know when and how to execute these advanced tricks to your advantage.

It is, however, still possible to conquer death in-game and to restore our Sims back to their vital selves, as there are creative ways to undo death in The Sims 4 without cheating. Yep! You do not have to worry about losing your precious characters in the game, as we have gathered all the possible ways for you to resurrect Sims who have already crossed the other side. Read below to find out.

There is a total of 10 ways to revive your sims who have died in-game. Take note that not all of these resurrection tricks would be easy to achieve, but some are much easier than others. Select the best one for you and use it to bring your dead Sim back to life! Remember, there are no guarantees that your Sims will live, but if you try hard enough, maybe the gods of the game will be kind enough to bring them back. ?

You can also create some items in the game to defy death. For example, writing the Book of Life is a great way to save sims from perishing permanently. When a sim has been bound to a Book of Life before death, they can then be summoned after death. These are the steps on how you can craft the Book of Life:

If you have ever played The Sims 3, you know how essential it is to have an Ambrosia on hand whenever death rings the doorbell for your sims. In The Sims 4, it still functions that way. Yep! Ambrosia is a mysterious and powerful food that could resurrect sims who have died. It is also famous for its ability to restore youth for older sims who never want to age. However, it is not easy to craft this particular meal, which requires your sim to obtain rare ingredients. But how do you produce Ambrosia?

If you are tired of going through elaborate efforts to restore the lives of your dead sims in the game, there is, of course, a simpler method to resurrect them. The MC Command Center is your best bet in easily defying death in the game. This all-in-one mod helps Simmers in many aspects of The Sims 4, and it also proves to be helpful when it comes to undoing death. Here are the steps for using this ultra-powerful mod to bring your Sims back to life:

There is another method to cheat your sim back to life. This method is a little bit unpopular because most Simmers are not aware of this little trick! This reliable cheat involves undoing the perishing of your sim, by using an easy cheat that is customizable, depending on the cause of death of your sim. Here is how you can use this cheat to help resurrect your sim:

There is a way for you to keep yourself from resurrecting your dead sims over and over. It is by choosing the option wherein your sims never have to face death in the game again. Yes! There is a way to eliminate the aspect of your sims dying, at least, as long as you choose to. By using the following simple cheat, you can disable the concept of death. Click CTRL + SHIFT + C until the cheat console appears. Type testingcheats true then press enter. Next, type death.toggle false on the cheat console.

You can still employ most of the methods listed here to resurrect sims on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. You may still cook Ambrosia, write the Book of Life, try your luck on the Whispering Wishing Well, use the magic of Spellcasters, or plead and give a Death Flower to the Grim Reaper to help reverse the death for your sims. You may also still use the exit-without-saving method to easily assist you.

However, the MC Command Center resurrection method is limited to PC use. You cannot use this convenient mod for The Sims 4 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to bring your dead sims back to life. So, choose from the other options available!

It is that thing you use. You have to pick the person you want and you have to pay the Grim Reaper a sum of money to resurrect the Sim. Beware though, because if you don't pay him enough money he'll bring your beloved Sim back as a zombie (ew I hate zombies). That's how it works for Sims, I guess it is the same for pets.

When a Sim dies in-game, their character data gets transferred to their urn or tombstone. So, any Sim who died in-game and who still has a tombstone or urn can be resurrected. Any Sim whose urn or tombstone has been deleted is gone forever.[1][2] In The Sims 2, some of the Maxis pre-made dead Sims, like Skip Broke, seem to have character data stored somewhere else, and may be resurrectable even though they do not have urns or tombstones.

The Resurrect-O-Nomitron is the Paranormal Career reward, it allows you to bring back to life dead sims like deseased ancestors and relatives, or deseased sims that you knew when they were alive. In order to do this you have to offer a sum of money to the Grim Reaper, if you offer him a large bid then he will bring the deseased sim back exactly as they were before dying, intead if you offer him a low bid then the resurrection could fail or the sim could be brought back as a zombie.

Sometimes, a pre-made deceased Sim will be resurrectable, but will have no playable relatives, descendants, or acquaintances. If there are townies that are descended from the Sim you want to resurrect, you can use this method. If you can make them playable, they can resurrect that Sim with the Resurrect-O-Nomitron.

The wish to resurrect a Sim works much like using the Resurrect-O-Nomitron, in that Sims can only try to resurrect Sims or pets that they know. If the selected Sim does not know any Sims or pets who can be resurrected, the "Resurrect..." option will not appear. However, unlike the Resurrect-O-Nomitron, the player has no control over the outcome. A Sim may be resurrected imperfectly, or even brought back as a zombie.

The Grave Move Method can be used in The Sims 2 to help with resurrecting some Sims. You need Nightlife or later (for the "Move grave(s)" option), and either University or FreeTime for this to work:

Nightlife introduced the ability to click on a grave and move it to a community lot. Doing this with the graves of some pre-made deceased Sims will allow them to be resurrected with the Resurrect-O-Nomitron or the genie lamp.

Some Sims have no grave, but still have character data. This method can be used to resurrect them (Requires FreeTime or University). This method can be used if the player only has University (and cannot move graves to another lot).
