The National AFM workshop is an in-person one-day workshop running alongside ICONN that brings together the Australian atomic force microscopy community. The workshop will feature presentations on:
The latest in AFM technique development
Specific applications in material and medical science
Availability of instruments and expertise
Plus networking during catered breaks.
The workshop will run from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm on Friday the 6th of February, 2026. It will be held in the Sydney Nanoscience hub, on the Camperdown Campus of the University of Sydney. Details can be found in the program tab.
Public transport: The University of Sydney is well-connected to the Sydney CBD via bus and is a 15 minute walk from Redfern train station.
Car: Paid parking is available on campus, although availability of parking spots cannot be guaranteed. Payment can be made at meters or using the CellOPark app.

The workshop is free to attend, but we ask that you register for catering purposes.
We are no longer accepting abstracts for Oral presentations. However, it is possible that space might become availible in the programme due to cancellations etc. If you would like to present, please email us.
