The all-in-one smart lock

Mission of the project

Our goal is to design and implement a smart IoT device that improves the quality of life for any home user. We envision a smart lock that can be easily controlled with a mobile app that has a plethora of features.

Feature list:

Keyless entry via app
Automatic lock if door is unlocked and automatic unlock if door is locked
Guest access management
- Users can accept guest requests for door entrance
Running log of door activity

Hardware Peripherals:

NRF52840 Microcontroller
Servo Motor (SG90)

Demo Expectations:

Worst Case:

Lock mechanism locks and unlocks based on UI interaction on mobile application.
Keyless access via notification.

Best Case:

Construct an enclosure for the IoT device.
Pair to IoT device with smartphone.
Demo features described in project features slide.
Lock automatically locks and unlocks based on RSSI.
