Who are we

ORIGINS

The 21st Jagers historically come from the Russian Empire. They served in several pivotal battles during the Napoleonic Wars, including the battles of Leipzig and Borodino. They served until 1814, when they were put into the 3rd Infantry Division and rebranded as the 28th.

Outside of historical contexts, the 21st Jagers are a combination of two regiments from the private sector of the game Holdfast: Nations at War. These regiments were the 21st Royal North British Fusiliers, a British regiment from which they derived their number, and the 57th Jagers, a Prussian regiment from which they inherited the title of Jagers. The two regiments grew close over the years of 2019-2020, and decided due to a series of internal affairs that a merge would be beneficial to all parties. Negotiations were rough initially, people were hesitant to hang up their former regimental identities. However they all knew that, whatever the cost may be, this is what they wanted. On August 19th, 2020, the regiment would raise the Tzar's banner, and begin a new journey for a new regiment in a rapidly expanding game.

The 21st RNBF

The 21st Royal North British Fusiliers, also know by many other names such as the 21th, "special forces", that Regiment, and a slew of other nicknames was a small, close-knit group which took part in multiple weekly linebattles in Holdfast: Nations at War. The regiment began in late 2017, and for several months afterwards, it consisted of 30-40 returning members. Later, due to several factors, the population of their group had decreased, with now around 15-20 returning members. To them, however, it was the quality, not the quantity of people they recruited. Those of them who have stuck around have closely bonded, many of them have formed closer friendships than they ever would have thought.

The 57th Jagers

The 57th Jagers were founded in early 2019 by their colonel, Benjamin after a split from the 26thFI. It, much like the 21st, became quickly known for memes and their lighthearted nature. They held the claim to "The memeiest regiment this side of the Mississippi" though never specified which side that was. The regiment has a brief but rich history, involving a tense secession crisis on 4/20/19, and the development of one of the objectively Best Worst custom uniforms the online community has ever seen. It has been described with such terms as "terrible", "horrible", and most notably "battle casual".

A More Relaxed Regiment

Unlike other regiments that put heavy emphasis on drills, attendance, and being generally presentable, the 21st claim to fame is being very laid back. We understand this is a game, and we focus on having a good time. A lot of the content in the Media page shows exactly this, as well as revealing why we have most of our nicknames.
