Our programs run from September to June each year with a summer camp in July/August and a possible summer expedition for the Scouts, Venturers and Rovers.
As part of Scouts Canada, our programs support:
- Healthy, Active Living - active outdoor fun and camping adventures as well as the promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
- Socialization - teamwork, comradery, and building friendships;
- Leadership - youth gain leadership skills to help them become active, productive citizens;
- Environment - youth learn to become caretakers of the environment.
Our programs are for young girls and boys starting in Kindergarten through to grade 12 and beyond. We have five main Sections for different age groups which are summarized below.

Building on fun and friendship, Cub Scouts grow into leadership roles, gain more confidence, and learn many new things. Earning badges is a focus of the program in six activity areas: the Natural World, Outdoors, Creative Expression, Healthy Living, Home & Community, and Canada & the World.
Cub Scouts enjoy playing games, going on hikes, earning badges, touring interesting places, having real campfires, telling jokes, listening to stories, singing songs, going on overnight camps, helping in the community, and much more. Venturer Scouts are for youth in Grade 10 (LEVEL 1), Grade 11 (LEVEL 2), and Grade 12 (LEVEL 3).
Venture Scouts plan their own meeting times and locations.
The outdoors is an essential part of the Venture Scout program. Weekend events, extended hikes, no-trace camping and other opportunities round out the Venture Scout experience. Developing an active healthy lifestyle is the primary goal of this Section. As well, Venturing helps teens acquire new knowledge and skills that can lead to satisfying careers. They also provide service in the community and help with younger Scouting Sections at meetings and camps.
