Cubs AREA

Hello Cub Scouts.

You belong to a group called a "Cub Pack".  Your Pack has lots of fun at meetings and gets to do special activities.  You play games, go on hikes, earn badges, tour interesting places, have campfires, tell jokes, sing songs, listen to stories, sleep overnight at Science World, go on overnight camps, build forts out of cardboard, and much much more.

Check out the badges you can earn on the PROGRAMS - DOCUMENTS page.  You can also earn the Top Section Award in your section (Seeonee Award - check with your section Scouters for details on this award).

MEETINGS:  Remember to wear your uniform and bring your coat to each meeting as we often go outside for part or all of the meeting.  Also, remember to bring your "Bones" to each meeting.  Bones are weekly dues and are typically up to a Loonie or Toonie which helps pay for meeting supplies and activity costs.

BADGES:  Some badges are earned during regular meetings times.  You can also easily earn badges on your own.  When you have earned a badge, click on the on-line  SCOUTSTRACKER system and update your information so that it will show you are ready for testing.

PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENT BADGES: These are special badges that you can earn on your own.  Click Here to Learn more about these badges.

CAMPS:  When you go on camps, be sure to pack all the items on the "Packing List" (the Packing List will be given out prior to each camp).  Be sure to also follow special instructions from your leaders.

LEADERSHIP:   You can work your way up to becoming a leader as a "Lair Leader" or as Howler (grade 5) Cub.  A Lair is a group of about five or six Cub Scouts in your Cub Pack.  If you are a grade 5 Cub you become a "Howler" and a member of the Pack Leadership Team and will be given more responsibility in the group and sometimes you get to do special things at meetings, as well as go on some outings apart from the rest of the Cub Pack.  Remember that Lair Leaders and Howlers need to set a good example for the rest of the Cub members.
