The Taipei Representative Office in the EU and Belgium and Leiden university are co-organizing a Taiwan Research Day at the Faculty of Science, Leiden University, The Netherlands. This event aims to unite key players in photonics and quantum physics centered around a theme to explore photonic paths to quantum computation. The event brings together researchers from The Netherlands and Taiwan with esteemed speakers from Hon Hai Research Center, Leiden University, National Central University and National Tsing Hua University. This event is sponsored by Leiden University, the National Science and Technology Council, and the Taipei Representative Office in the EU and Belgium.

The Faculty of Science is located at the Leiden Bio Science Park. It was founded more than two centuries ago and currently, more than 8000 people are working and studying at the eight institutes.
The Taiwan research day is co-organized by the Leiden Insitute of Physics (LION) part of the Faculty of Science of Leiden University, The Netherlands. LION is a world-leading research and education hub known for fundamental, curiosity-driven physics, excelling in Quantum Matter and Optics, Cosmology, Biological and Soft Matter as well as the Instituut-Lorentz for theoretical physics. Physics in Leiden has a strong legacy including historical figures like Einsten and Lorentz and offers innovative Master's programs with deep experimental and theoretical training.
