The IDEAL Summer Institute will now be completely online to support participation from as many IDEAL member states as possible. During the pandemic, we successfully hosted online Institutes, so we are well-equipped to deliver an engaging event for your state's participants. We want our IDEAL colleagues to participate in the Institute regardless of their state's membership status for PY 2025-26. Each state will have spots for up to 6 people to attend online.

Registration Information

As a benefit of IDEAL membership, each member state can register up to six people to attend our online Institute. Please coordinate who will attend to ensure accurate registration. If you previously registered to participate in person, you do not need to register again.

Who should attend?

The IDEAL Summer Institute explores topics related to digital education, distance learning modes, and the use of educational technology. Typical attendees include state office staff, professional developers and facilitators, and instructor leaders.

How many people can attend per state?

We want our IDEAL colleagues to participate in the Institute regardless of their state's membership status for PY 2025-26. Each state will have spots for up to 6 people to attend online.

What is the cost of registration?

The Institute is free for all IDEAL member states, regardless of your membership level. Even if you are unsure of your IDEAL membership status for PY 2025-26, we still welcome your participation in the Institute.

What topics will be covered?

We are working to create an agenda based on the needs and topics identified through the member state check-in calls and other sources. However, you can expect to discuss artificial intelligence (AI), digital literacy skills, distance learning modes, including HyFlex, and professional development for adult education practitioners.
