About the Course
This course helps students review key principles of language teaching and understand basic concepts in educational psychology, with a focus on teaching young English learners. The class includes lectures, video viewing, and group presentations.
Students will also participate in teaching practicum activities. Service teaching students will tutor Guo-Tai Elementary School pupils on Tuesday mornings, while self-teaching students will work with partner schools or programs such as Municipal Xianxiguomin Junior High School, Haiken Social Welfare Foundation, Bilingual Companions for English Learning Program, Hsinchu County Erchong Elementary School, Taipei Municipal Xingya Elementary School, and the Rural Area E-tutor Program.

Comprehend essential theories of educational psychology relevant to young learners.
Integrate concepts from language teaching and educational psychology to design and write effective lesson plans.
Apply their knowledge and skills in real teaching contexts through service or self-teaching practicum experiences.
