The 2025 VATWS meeting will be held March 17-19, 2025. Talks will be held at the 1000 Westover building on Maymont.

Lodging Information

Lodging for the meeting has been arranged at the Omni Richmond Hotel. Please note that dinner, awards, and socials will also take place at the Omni. 


Registration 

You can register for the 2025 Annual Meeting through our registration site on Eventbrite. Registration is $75 ($35 for students) and includes  breaks, and lunch and dinner on March 18th. There will be a tour of Maymont, including animal exhibits, on Tuesday afternoon. Registration for the tour is required, but there is no additional charge.

Travel Grants

2025 Student Scholarship from the VATWS Committee on Increasing Diversity, Equity, and Awareness

Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.

This scholarship is open to any current student, graduate or undergraduate, who self-identifies as Black/African American, Hispanic, Alaskan Native or American Indian, and Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, LGBTQ+, differently abled, or as a member of any community underrepresented in the wildlife profession.

Awards can be used to cover VATWS meeting registration, lodging, and travel costs at the recipient's discretion. Recipients are encouraged (not required) to join and contribute to the VATWS IDEA committee. Applications are due March 4th.
