Regular Season: 17 weeks total, consisting of 5–6 rounds (5–18 matches). Each round should be completed within 3 weeks.
Playoffs: 4 weeks, with 1–2 rounds arranged based on team standings and updated UTR ratings.
Championship (TBD): A weekend event to be held in May before the 2026 Summer UTR Team League.

Diamond Group (UTR 15–17)
Platinum Group (UTR 13–15)
Gold Group (UTR 11–13)
Silver Group (UTR 9–11)
Crystal Group (UTR 7–9)
Pearl Group (UTR 5–7)
Jade Group (UTR 3–5)
MuLan Group (UTR 3–9) may be further divided into Phoenix and Peacock subgroups if registration is sufficient.
All groups (except MuLan) are open and not divided by gender. Teams within each group may include men’s doubles, women’s doubles, or mixed doubles.
When registering, players can specify a preference (e.g., “prefer mixed or women’s doubles”), and the organizing team will consider this when assigning divisions.
Players can also indicate their geographic area, preferred match days/times, etc. (for example, “Early Bird Group,” “Night Owl Group,” “East Bay Group”) — and teams with similar preferences will be grouped together when possible.
Groups with fewer than 5 teams will be merged with an adjacent division if the UTR range allows; otherwise, they will be canceled.
Except for the Jade and MuLan Groups, all others have both minimum and maximum UTR limits, meaning each team’s TPI (Team Power Index = total UTR of both players) must stay within that division’s UTR range.
For example, in the Diamond Group, the combined UTR of the two players must be at least 15 (e.g., 7.0 + 8.0 or 7.5 + 7.5) and no higher than 17 (e.g., less than 9.5 + 7.5 or 8.5 + 8.5).
Each doubles team may include 2–4 players, with no restrictions on age, gender, or nationality.
Dynamic Duo: Two players who are flexible with time and want to play every match together.
Trio: Three players, providing one alternate for schedule conflicts.
Fantastic Four: Four players with two alternates — ideal for players with limited availability or other commitments.
Teams may choose their own custom team name (e.g., Li Family Warriors, USTC Young Guns, Crescent Fighters). If not provided, the default name will combine the players’ last names.
Each player may register for up to two divisions. A third registration requires approval from the league coordinator.
The UTR difference between doubles partners cannot exceed 3.5, and in the Platinum and Diamond divisions, it cannot exceed 2.5.
UTR is determined at the time of registration. Players using Self-Rated or Projected UTRs should estimate realistically using the conversion chart.
If a player’s UTR changes significantly during the season, the organizing committee may adjust their eligibility or move the team to a higher division.
All matches will be managed via the UTR Team League platform, allowing up to three match lines per team match.
One Match: Each side fields two players for one 2-hour match.
Two Matches: Each side fields three or four players to play two matches (Fast 4 or Pro Set). If tied 1–1, the winner is decided by total game percentage.
Three Matches: Up to three matches may be played with no repeated pairings; best of three determines the team winner.
All formats are flexible. By default, each matchup consists of one match, but if both sides agree beforehand, they may play anywhere from 1 to 3 matches in any format — Fast 4, Pro Set, or Best of 3 (with or without ad scoring).
Teams that have the capacity are also encouraged to play cross-group challenge matches.
Each player acts as their own team captain — scheduling matches, entering and editing scores directly in the system.
For matches involving junior players, parents or guardians may not coach or officiate during play. If both sides are juniors, brief coaching may be allowed before the third set.
Season: December 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026
Regular Season: December 2025 – April 2026
Playoffs & Finals: April 2026 – May 2025
All matches must be mutually scheduled. When a conflict arises, a “home team” is randomly assigned. The home team must propose three possible time slots, including:
at least one weekday evening, and at least one weekend time,
and these times must be on different days and within reasonable hours. The visiting team will choose one of the three.
Any court or facility fees must be agreed upon in advance.
Each round of the group stage lasts 3 weeks, and the playoffs last 4 weeks. Both teams must post their scheduled match on UTR within the first week of the round, though matches may be completed earlier.
In cases of extended rain, New Year, or Lunar New Year holidays, all groups may receive official schedule extensions from the league coordinators.
Personal reasons such as vacations, work trips, or injuries will not justify postponements — teams should instead reschedule early or substitute players.
Players who withdraw before playing any matches will receive a full refund.
Reminder 1: Please assess your own availability and other commitments (USTA, UTR leagues, etc.) carefully before registering. Incomplete matches or difficulty scheduling hurt the experience for everyone.
Reminder 2: This league is a Flex League — success relies on communication and cooperation. Players should be proactive and flexible. Those unwilling to coordinate or compromise are advised not to register.
Teams may replace players mid-season in cases of injury or extended travel, as long as replacements are of comparable skill and the total roster does not exceed 4 players.
Self-Rated players who find their level inaccurate or Rated players with significant improvement/decline may switch divisions if approved by the coordinators.
After the group stage, playoffs will be arranged based on group rankings and player levels, placing teams into different playoff draws.
Only players who have played at least one regular-season match are eligible to participate in the playoffs and championship rounds.
Teams whose combined UTRs exceed the division’s upper limit significantly will be moved up to the next division for playoffs.
Winning teams in the playoffs qualify for the Championship Weekend, held at a location with rented courts.
Champion: Perpetual trophy (held for one year), custom gold medals, cash prize, and gifts.
Runner-up: Custom silver medals, cash prize, and gifts.
Third Place: Custom bronze medals, cash prize, and gifts.

Official UTR Registration:
After pre-registration, teams will be created on the UTR Team League platform. Players must register there to finalize entry.
