Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly cancer, and most patients die within only one year after diagnosis. Early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is the most important goal to increase the survival rate, but there is still no clinically established early diagnostic method yet. Carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) is a kind of serum biomarker of pancreatic cancer that has been shown to be closely associated with detection of pancreatic cancer. Many researchers have focused on developing Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), which are a class of porous materials that consist of metal ions linked together by organic bridging ligands. HKUST-1 (CuBTC, BTC = benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid) is an interesting MOF with a 3D network containing large pores. Studies have also been performed on its electrochemical behavior and applications. MOFs has low conductivity traditional that is a defect appling to electrochemical sensing, so we prepared to deposit gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) on the HKUST-1 to make composite heterostructures that has higher conductivity. We want to develop a kind of sensor using HKUST-1 with gold nanoparicles to increase the electrochemical sensitivity on Screen-printed carbon paste electrode (SPCE), and use this electrode to detect CA19-9 with anti-CA19-9 binding on the MOF. Finally, a sensitive and selective method is developed to realize the early detection of pancreactic cancer.
