Rachel Evangelisto was crowned Miss Minnesota 2022 on Friday, June 17 at Grace Church in Eden Prairie. She is an Indian Child Welfare Advocate, Huŋkpapȟa Lakota Sioux and Future Tribal Attorney. She is native of Hennepin County, Minnesota and studied BS Political Science/Pre Law at University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Rachel Evangelisto is an ICWA Guardian by day, Kung Fu fighting by night, Celebrating Culture & Driving Diversity Standing Rock Sioux.
Rachel received a $10,000 scholarship from the Miss Minnesota organization upon winning the title. She also received a Preliminary award for the Red Carpet/Eveningwear Competition. Through her participation in the Miss America program over the past few years, Rachel has been awarded over $26,000 in educational scholarships.
