According to several media platforms reported, a lot of people in Taiwan seemed to claim that they have the right to firstly receive the COVID-19 vaccine while Taiwan was short of sufficient vaccines. Therefore, how the vaccines should be fairly allocated and how that allocation was justified were of great concerns during the pandemic in Taiwan. In this presentation, several countries’ COVID-19 vaccination priority plans will be reported, in comparison with that in Taiwan in the COVID-19 pandemic, particular during the shortage of vaccines. In addition, how people in Taiwan thought of COVID-19 vaccination priority was examined and will be reported/discussed. Based on those information and fair allocation, whether Taiwan vaccination plan is ethically appropriate will be deliberated.
