摘要 Abstract

Group narrative activity is one of the narrative teaching strategies for clinic ethics that would effectively allow different perspectives among learners to be seen and shared in case seminars on ethical dilemmas. It was usually conducted in a format of in-person small group discussion that each participant would share their writing and read writings from each other. Group narrative activity has been practiced in the clinical ethic course at Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) for years, but in-person group discussion was prohibited by the quarantine procedure during the pandemic. To continue with the group narrative activity, online reading and group sharing using serial email and group discussion by an online meeting platform were adapted. Although verbal communication was reduced, the sharing of written information was enhanced. Flexibility and feasibility of course time arrangements are also significant advantages of the online format of group narrative discussions. Our experiences at KMU would add helpful information to the curricular design of narrative ethics in a clinical setting.
