Swing Into Spring Baseball Tournament

9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U

We strive to provide a positive tournament experience at an affordable price with equally competitive teams. This tournament is geared towards lower A and B level teams. Elite tournament teams looking for the highest level of competition should seek alternative options.

FORMAT: 3-game minimum (weather permitting). Two pool play games on Saturday (11U and up might play one game on Friday night, if needed). Single elimination bracket on Sunday. Seeding for bracket based in order on 1) win/loss/tie record, 2) head to head results, 3) average runs allowed, and then 4) coin flip. The tournament director may adjust format as needed based on weather or other extenuating circumstances.

LOCATION: Bell Branch Park in Crofton, MD. Additional fields in Crofton and Davidsonville as needed.

AGE BRACKETS: 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, and 14U. All players must be division age or younger as of May 1, 2022.

COST: $500 per 9U/10U team, $600 per 11U/12U team, $650 per 13U/14U team. Cost includes umpire fees (one per 9U/10U game, two per 11U/12U/13U/14U game), game balls, and awards for the top two finishing teams in each age bracket (individual medals and team trophy).

  • Email to carl.aten@gmail.com with your team name, age group, point of contact, cell phone number, email address, and method of payment.

  • Payment: Via Venmo (@crofton-baseball), PayPal (croftonbaseball.board@gmail.com use friends/family option), or check (made out to “Crofton Athletic Council”) and mailed c/o Carl Aten at 2509 Chelmsford Drive, Crofton, MD 21114. Electronic payment is preferred. Teams will be waitlisted until payment received.

  • COI: Please send a copy of your Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming Crofton Athletic Association, PO Box 3402, Crofton, MD 21114.

  • Roster: I am no longer requesting team rosters. However, you should have copies of all players’ birth certificates available if challenged.

  • Schedule requests: Email any special requests to carl.aten@gmail.com. We will do our best to honor your requests, but only if received by the same deadline.

REFUNDS: 100% refund if tournament cancelled ahead of time due to COVID or other extenuating circumstances. Once we get to Friday of the tournament, then 75% refund if no games played, 50% if 1 game played, and 25% if 2 games played. First pitch thrown constitutes a game for the purposes of refunds. If a team backs out before the schedule is published, then they will receive a full refund. No refunds after the schedule is published unless a replacement team is found.
