Get Ready for a Festive Evening!
We're so excited to celebrate this momentous occasion with all of you and your family. CARmencement is our way to allow students, family, and friends to celebrate our student’s academic accomplishments.
We encourage our students to decorate their vehicles (Remember there is a 1 car limit per graduate - so fit as many people as you legally can).
Here is some information for the 2021 graduates and their friends and families:

If I am driving a pick-up truck, can my family members ride in the truck flatbed during the event?
No. We will follow all the traffic laws established by the California Vehicle Code, which states:
“No person driving a pickup truck or flatbed motortruck on a highway shall transport any person in or on the back of the truck” - Rules of the Road, Cal. Vehicle Code § 23116 et seq.
Can family members be on the sidewalk of drive thru during CARmencement celebration?
No. For health precautions and to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and faculty we will observe CDC social distancing protocols. The limited space on the sidewalk cannot accommodate the 6 feet apart guidance, therefore we cannot allow for family members to be on the sidewalk. For more information on CDC social distancing guidelines, please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/schools-childcare/index.html
How soon can I be at the event and what time does it end?
CARmencement Drive-Thru will open at 6:00PM. We highly encourage students to arrive on a timely manner. Drive thru will close at 7:15PM. If you arrive late, we will not be able to accommodate your drive-in.
Where should I arrive at 6:00PM?
The event will take place at two locations, for address please see CARmencement Map or check your email for specific directions and instructions for the event you RSVP'd too.
Should I wear a mask at the event?
We will follow the latest CDC’s Guidance for Wearing Masks and ask for students, staff, and faculty to wear a mask during the event. “When you wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself. Masks work best when everyone wears one. A mask is NOT a substitute for social distancing. Masks should still be worn in addition to staying at least 6 feet apart” - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (2021, April 19).
