What is the Callan Method and how to prepare for its exam?
The Callan Method is a fast and effective way of learning English as a foreign language. It was developed by Robin Callan, a British teacher, in 1960. The method is based on constant speaking and listening practice, repetition, correction and revision. The students are always active and engaged in the lessons, which are conducted by trained teachers who follow a structured course of books.
The Callan Method consists of 12 stages, each with its own vocabulary, grammar and topics. The students progress from the beginner level (stage 1) to the advanced level (stage 12). At the end of each stage, the students take an oral exam to test their comprehension, pronunciation and fluency. The exam consists of questions and answers based on the material covered in the stage. The students are expected to answer quickly and correctly, without hesitation or mistakes.
