If you want a robust, adjustable mounting solution that keeps your phone secure and accessible while navigating rough terrain, choose 1Zero Solid Car Truck; if you need a reliable adhesive base to fix an existing suction cup mount on a dashboard for long-term stability, choose eSamcore Sticky Pad.
• 1Zero Solid Car Truck: Its standout strength is the 14-inch durable aluminum gooseneck arm that positions your device exactly where you need it, but its trade-off is that it requires a flat, sturdy surface like glass or wood and cannot be used on vinyl, leather, or waxed surfaces. This pick is for drivers who prioritize visibility and hands-free operation in trucks, SUVs, or cars with large windshields.
• eSamcore Sticky Pad: Its biggest advantage is transforming any standard suction cup into a permanent, high-grip anchor capable of handling extreme temperatures from -4°F to 176°F, yet it only serves as a base and does not include the actual holder or arm itself. This pick is for those who already own a suction mount but struggle with it slipping off textured or curved dashboards during daily commutes or off-roading.
The 1Zero Solid Car Truck Phone Mount Holder is built for the driver who needs their navigation, calls, and media right in front of them without having to fumble with a handheld device. The centerpiece of this system is the 14-inch aluminum pipe, which acts as a flexible bridge between your vehicle's windshield or window and your smartphone. This length is critical because it allows you to position the phone close to your finger line of sight while keeping it out of the way of airbags and steering wheels. For anyone driving a truck, SUV, or even a standard car, the ability to bend the arm to any angle means you can achieve the perfect viewing height regardless of seat position or interior layout.
What makes this unit particularly compelling for serious use is the industrial-strength suction cup paired with the anti-shake stabilizer design. The clamp opens up to 4 inches, ensuring compatibility with almost every modern smartphone, from the latest iPhone Pro Max models to various Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices. You get one-handed operation via a quick-release button on the back of the clamp, which is essential when you need to grab your phone quickly without taking your eyes off the road. The black mirror surface with a silver ring adds a sleek aesthetic, but the real value lies in its utility as a versatile tool that works on windows, desks, and cabinets alike.
However, this product is not a universal fit for every surface. The manufacturer explicitly notes that the stabilizer must be placed on a sturdy, flat surface like wood or plastic. If your vehicle interior features vinyl, cloth, leather, or surfaces treated with wax, this mount will simply not adhere properly. This makes it ideal for a driver who wants a permanent, custom setup for a specific vehicle but might find it less convenient for someone who frequently swaps phones between different cars with varying interior materials. It is a dedicated solution for those who demand a stable, adjustable platform for their mobile devices while driving.

The eSamcore Sticky Pad addresses a very specific, often frustrating problem: suction cups falling off dashboard surfaces. This product is not a phone holder itself; rather, it is a 2-pack of 3.1-inch diameter mounting disks designed to act as a flat, smooth interface between your existing suction cup mount and the dashboard. By creating a clean, adhesive-backed surface, it significantly improves the grip of any suction cup, preventing the dreaded mid-drive drop. This is especially valuable for drivers dealing with the heat and cold extremes found in North American climates, as the pad is rated to function reliably from -4°F to 176°F.
The engineering here focuses on adhesion and temperature resistance. The application process is straightforward but requires patience: you must clean the dashboard thoroughly to remove dust and grease, apply firm pressure for about 30 seconds to activate the bond, and then wait a full 24 hours before attaching your device. This curing time ensures the adhesive reaches its maximum potential strength.
This product is strictly for individuals who already have a suction cup mount they like but are losing confidence in its hold. It is the perfect upgrade for drivers who find their current mount sliding down on curved or textured dashboards, particularly in hot summer weather or freezing winters. Because it comes in a 2-pack, you can equip multiple vehicles or keep a spare for future use. However, it is not a standalone solution; you must purchase a separate mount to attach to it. It is also not suitable for every surface type mentioned in the competitor's data, as it is specifically designed to create a "sticky" base where the original suction fails. If you need a simple, effective way to stop your mount from moving, this is the foundational piece you need.
• Best for Off-Roading Stability → 1Zero Solid Car Truck: The 14-inch gooseneck arm provides the flexibility to route the phone away from vibration points and keep it visible, whereas the eSamcore pad only secures a mount that might still vibrate if the arm isn't rigid.
• Best for Existing Hardware → eSamcore Sticky Pad: If you already own a suction mount, buying the eSamcore pad is the most cost-effective way to fix slipping issues without replacing your entire setup.
• Best for Surface Versatility → 1Zero Solid Car Truck: This mount works on windows, windshields, desks, and cabinets, offering more placement options than the dashboard-only focus of the eSamcore pad.
• Best for Extreme Temperature Resistance → eSamcore Sticky Pad: Rated for -4°F to 176°F, the adhesive disk is engineered specifically to withstand thermal expansion and contraction that might weaken other adhesives.
• Best for Hands-Free Convenience → 1Zero Solid Car Truck: The one-hand release button and 4-inch clamp width allow for immediate phone insertion and removal, a feature the passive eSamcore pad does not offer.
• Best for Customizable Viewing Angles → 1Zero Solid Car Truck: The bendable aluminum arm lets you shape the mount to your exact preference, while the eSamcore pad offers no adjustment once applied.
• Best for Multi-Vehicle Use → eSamcore Sticky Pad: Since it is sold as a 2-pack, you can easily transfer the sticky pads between different vehicles' dashboards, whereas the 1Zero mount is a single, heavier unit per vehicle.
For my personal recommendation, I would buy the 1Zero Solid Car Truck if I were setting up a primary vehicle for off-roading. The combination of the 14-inch aluminum arm and the industrial suction cup gives me the control and stability I need when the terrain gets rough. While the eSamcore Sticky Pad is an excellent accessory for fixing a slipping mount, it feels like a patch rather than a complete solution. The 1Zero mount solves the positioning and stability problems in one package, provided I have a flat surface to attach it to. In my opinion, the flexibility of the gooseneck design outweighs the convenience of the adhesive base for anyone looking for a dedicated, high-performance driving setup.
No, the 1Zero Solid Car Truck data sheet explicitly states that the suction cup is not for vinyl, cloth, leather, or surfaces treated with wax; it requires a flat, sturdy surface like wood or plastic to set properly.
You must give the adhesive 24 hours to reach its maximum suction power before attaching your device, after cleaning the surface and applying firm pressure for 30 seconds.
Yes, the eSamcore pad is designed to function in extreme temperatures ranging from -4°F to 176°F, making it suitable for harsh seasonal changes.
The clamp opens up to 4 inches, which accommodates all major smartphones including the largest iPhone Pro Max models, but the design is optimized for phones rather than large tablets.
