Information We Collect and Use
1 Rep Max lets you calculate one-rep max estimates, log exercise records, track body weight, set goals, and manage related app settings.
Most workout, exercise, body weight, goal, note, and history data that you enter is stored locally on your device. Code Gardener LLC does not operate its own account system or server database for storing your fitness logs.
However, the app uses third-party services, including Google and Firebase services, that may collect information from the app for advertising, analytics, crash reporting, app performance monitoring, billing, consent management, and app functionality. This information may include:
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, country or approximate location, network status, and diagnostic information.
- Identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID where available, Firebase installation IDs, app-instance identifiers, Crashlytics installation UUIDs, and similar SDK identifiers.
- App usage and analytics events, such as screens viewed, settings changed, ad events, consent-related events, purchase funnel events, import/export actions, and feature interactions.
- Workout-related analytics event parameters when certain features are used, which may include exercise names, weights, reps, body weight values, or goal values.
- Crash and error information, such as stack traces, crash logs, device state, app configuration, and the time of an error.
- Purchase-related information handled through Google Play Billing, such as product identifiers, purchase state, and purchase-related events.
We use this information to provide, maintain, debug, analyze, personalize, monetize, and improve the Service; display ads where allowed; manage consent choices; support the Pro upgrade; understand feature usage; and improve app stability and performance.
Fitness and Goal Data
Your detailed fitness history is primarily stored in the app’s local database on your device. This includes exercise logs, body weight records, goals, and notes.
The app may transmit limited workout-related analytics event parameters to Firebase Analytics, as described above, when you interact with certain features. Code Gardener LLC does not sell your fitness data and does not operate its own server-side fitness profile or user account database.
If Android backup is enabled on your device, app data may be backed up through Android’s backup features to the Google account configured on your device. Those backups are handled by Google and your Android system settings, not by Code Gardener LLC.
Import, Export, and Sharing
1 Rep Max includes import and export features. When you choose to export your data, the app creates a JSON export file on your device and opens Android’s sharing flow so you can send or save it using another app, such as email or cloud storage. Any app or service you choose for sharing or storage will handle that exported file according to its own privacy policy.
Advertising and Consent
The free version of 1 Rep Max displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and related Google advertising services may collect or use identifiers, approximate location, device information, ad interaction data, and other information to provide, limit, measure, and improve ads.
Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Non-personalized ads are not based on past behavior, but may still use device identifiers or similar technologies for purposes such as frequency capping, fraud prevention, and aggregated reporting.
The app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and manage ad-related consent where required. You may be able to change privacy choices through the app’s Privacy Options setting when it is available, or through your Android and Google advertising settings.
Third-Party Services
The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Third-party services used by the app include:
- Google AdMob: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Analytics for Firebase: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Firebase Crashlytics: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Firebase Performance Monitoring: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Firebase Remote Config: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google User Messaging Platform: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play In-App Review: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Log Data, Crash Reports, and Performance Data
If the app crashes, encounters an error, or records performance information, third-party services such as Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring may collect diagnostic data. This may include device information, app version, operating system version, crash traces, performance traces, network request performance information, timestamps, identifiers, and related diagnostic details.
This information is used to diagnose crashes, fix bugs, monitor performance, and improve reliability.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
1 Rep Max is a mobile app and does not use browser cookies directly in the same way a website does. However, third-party SDKs used by the app may use mobile identifiers, local storage, app-instance identifiers, Firebase installation IDs, Android Advertising ID, or similar technologies to provide analytics, ads, consent management, crash reporting, fraud prevention, and service functionality.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because 1 Rep Max does not require user accounts, most data you enter is stored locally on your device. You can delete local fitness logs, body weight records, and related app data by using the in-app Delete Data option, by clearing the app’s storage/data in Android system settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Data collected by third-party services is retained according to those providers’ policies and settings. For privacy questions or deletion requests related to data controlled by Code Gardener LLC, contact codegardenerllc@gmail.com.
Security
We value your trust and use commercially reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app and its service providers. Information transmitted to third-party services is generally sent using secure transport such as HTTPS. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
1 Rep Max is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app or through third-party SDKs used by the app, please contact us at codegardenerllc@gmail.com so we can take appropriate action.
Links to Other Sites and Services
The Service may contain links or actions that open third-party websites, apps, stores, email clients, or services. These third parties are not operated by Code Gardener LLC. We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party services you choose to use.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Changes are effective when posted.
