• 1Mii B06+ biggest strength: Turns any old stereo, amplifier or powered speaker into a Bluetooth 5.3 receiver with aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and switchable 3D surround — no headphone fit issues, ever.
• 1Mii B06+ biggest trade-off: It's a receiver only — no transmitter mode, no built-in speaker, and it needs a power outlet plus a 3.5 mm or RCA cable to do its job.
• Motast Earbuds biggest strength: 140 hours of total playback with a USB-C charging case, IP7 waterproofing and CVC 8.0 noise cancelling for calls in loud places.
• Motast Earbuds biggest trade-off: They're in-ear buds with silicone tips, so fit depends on the included S/M/L ear tips — and a big head doesn't help if the tips don't seal well.
• Pick 1Mii B06+ if you want to modernize a home stereo or speaker system and never think about ear fit again.
• Pick Motast Earbuds if you want wireless freedom for running, cycling, gym sessions and travel with a battery case that keeps going for days.
The 1Mii B06+ is a Bluetooth receiver, and that single fact defines everything about it. You plug it into a power outlet, run the supplied 3.5 mm-to-RCA cable into your stereo receiver, amplifier, computer speakers or powered speaker, pair your phone or tablet, and suddenly your old wired gear streams music wirelessly. The Bluetooth 5.3 chip handles the signal, and with aptX HD and aptX Adaptive on board, the audio path is built for high-fidelity streaming rather than a bare-minimum connection. There's also a "3D" button that toggles a surround-style audio mode, with a green LED confirming when it's active.
The practical appeal for anyone with a big head is obvious once you think about it: this device removes headphones from the equation entirely. If over-ear cans clamp too hard, if band-style bone conduction units sit awkwardly, or if you've struggled to find lightweight earphones that don't press on your ears, the B06+ sidesteps all of it. Your music comes out of the speakers you already own — speakers that were sized for a room, not for a skull. Setup is genuinely simple: plug, pair, play. It powers on automatically when connected to an outlet and reconnects to your last-paired device without you touching anything.
Two more details matter in daily use. First, dual-device connection: the B06+ can pair with two Bluetooth sources at once and switch between them without re-pairing, so you can bounce between a phone and a tablet. Second, range: Class 1 Bluetooth gives up to 98 ft line-of-sight in open air and roughly 50–70 ft indoors without obstacles, which is generous for a living room or workshop. Voice control works too — pair the receiver with an Echo through the Alexa app and control playback by voice, just remember the audio cable goes from the receiver to your powered speaker, not to the Echo.
Who should skip it? Anyone who wants personal, portable listening. The B06+ is a receiver only — it cannot transmit, so it won't send audio from a TV or turntable to Bluetooth headphones. It also needs a wall outlet and a cable run, so it's a stationary home upgrade, not a pocket device. If you listen on the move, this isn't your product.
The Motast Earbuds (model I09) are true wireless in-ear headphones built around battery life and durability. Each charge gives about 6 hours of playback, and the charging case recharges the buds roughly 23 times for a total of around 140 hours. The case tops up via USB-C in about 1.5 hours, and individual LED displays on the case show remaining power for both the buds and the case itself — a small feature that saves real annoyance. Bluetooth 5.3 handles the connection with a 15 m range and pairing in about two seconds.
Sound and calls are handled by DSR lossless HD rendering with a dynamic driver covering 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, plus CVC 8.0 noise cancelling that targets environmental noise so your voice comes through clearly on calls. The touch controls are comprehensive once you learn them: tap once to play, pause, answer or hang up; long-press to reject a call or power on/off; hold the left bud for previous track; press the right for next track; double-tap right for volume up, double-tap left for volume down; triple-tap either for Siri. It's a lot of gestures, but they're all documented.
For sport, the IP7 waterproof rating is the headline. Sweat, rain and splashes are fine, which makes these sensible for running, cycling, fitness, skiing, hiking and travel. Three pairs of silicone ear tips (S/M/L) are included, and that's the fit story: in-ear buds seal by tip size, not by head size. If you have a big head, the band and headband problems that plague over-ear and bone conduction designs simply don't exist here — but the flip side is that a proper seal now depends on choosing the right tip. Get that right and the fit is stable and light; get it wrong and bass suffers.
Who should skip them? People who want room-filling sound for a home stereo, or anyone who dislikes in-ear designs entirely. The Motast set is personal audio for movement, not a living-room upgrade.
• Best for upgrading an old stereo or powered speakers → 1Mii B06+. It's purpose-built for exactly that.
• Best for total battery life → Motast Earbuds. Roughly 140 hours with the case versus a device that runs off a wall outlet.
• Best for big head comfort → 1Mii B06+. No headband, no ear tips, no clamping force — it plays through speakers you already own.
• Best for running, gym and outdoor sport → Motast Earbuds. IP7 waterproofing and a secure in-ear design are made for sweat and weather.
• Best for high-fidelity home streaming → 1Mii B06+. aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and a switchable 3D mode give it the more serious audio toolkit.
• Best for calls in noisy places → Motast Earbuds. CVC 8.0 noise cancelling and a built-in mic are aimed at clear voice pickup.
• Best for long-range freedom around the house → 1Mii B06+. Up to 98 ft line-of-sight and 50–70 ft indoors beats a 15 m earbud range.
• Best for travel and portability → Motast Earbuds. A pocket charging case versus a mains-powered box with cables.
In my opinion, these two don't really fight each other — they solve different problems, and the "for big head" angle actually decides it. If your frustration is that over ear headphones for big head are uncomfortable and bone conduction headphones for big head never sit right, the 1Mii B06+ is the smarter buy: it takes headphones out of the picture and gives your existing speakers Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX HD and 3D surround. I'd choose the 1Mii B06+ for home listening, and the Motast Earbuds only if portability and sport are your priority — in which case their 140-hour case and IP7 rating make them a strong, practical pick. Check the current price on Amazon before deciding.
It's a receiver only. It brings Bluetooth audio into a stereo, amplifier or powered speaker — it cannot send audio out to Bluetooth headphones.
Head size isn't the issue with in-ear buds; tip size is. Motast includes S/M/L silicone tips, so the fit depends on getting a good seal rather than on head dimensions.
They carry an IP7 waterproof rating and are designed to handle sweat, rain and splashes, which suits running, cycling, fitness and hiking. Treat that as protection from water, not a promise of underwater use.
For a home system, the 1Mii B06+ has the edge in my opinion, thanks to aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and switchable 3D surround feeding real speakers. The Motast Earbuds are built for personal, on-the-go listening with a dynamic driver and CVC 8.0 noise cancelling.
