The mobile app is faster. When you use the mobile app, you bypass entering the security code to check if you are human. Sounds silly, but if you enter the wrong captha, guess what happens. I'd rather avoid that possibility and that whole step all together. Apparently if you turn on notifications from the Ticketmaster app, it makes it even more certain not to use a security code. I should note this may only apply on iPhone, maybe some Android users can confirm.
