Francis Cabrel - L'Essentiel 1977-2007
Francis Cabrel is a French singer-songwriter, composer and guitarist who has been active since 1974. He is known for his folk, blues and country influenced songs, such as "Je l'aime à mourir", "L'encre de tes yeux", "La corrida" and "Sarbacane". He has sold over 25 million albums worldwide and received many awards and honors for his music.
In 2007, to celebrate his 30 years of career, he released a compilation album titled "L'Essentiel 1977-2007", which contains 37 tracks spanning his discography from 1977 to 2007. The album includes his most popular songs, as well as some live versions, duets and covers of other artists. The album was certified platinum in France and gold in Canada, and received positive reviews from critics and fans.
