GI Bill PAsses

What actually happened?: The GI bill was in jeopardy of being defeated. The American Legion, a group of veterans, went into high gear and made sure that Congressman Gibson, the deciding vote on the committee, was present at the capitol when the vote was taken. Gibson voted in favor of the bill.
