What actually happened?: Sympathetic to the Jewish people's suffering, Truman advocated with the U.N. to reestablish a new Jewish nation in Palestine. Though he was very confident about this decision, we know that the long term consequences included the assassination of Bobby Kennedy, 9/11, and the Israel-Hamas war currently taking place.
