African feminist perspectives, driving the voice for change
Who are we?
We are a group of passionate, young African feminist activists who come together anually to host a webinar advocating for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence against women and girls, initiated by the UN Women.
Our Mission
To investigate gender-based violence as an outcome of failed social and government systems and use an Afrocentric approach to develop feasible solutions by uniting the voices of feminist experts from multiple sectors, including academia, legislature, healthcare and beyond. Our panellist discussions are holistic and evidence-based.
Our Vision
To establish a sustainable organisation that recommends and implements novel, multi-sectoral and transformative solutions to eradicate gender-based violence in Africa, through collaborations with African activists, advocates and professionals.
Annually, between November 25th (the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) and December 10th (Human Right's Day), organisations from over 108 countries participate in a 16-day-long campaign against GBV.
