Welcome to the official website of the 11th Postgraduate ZooArchaeology Forum, an annual conference organized by and for postgraduate/graduate students and early-career professionals in the field of zooarchaeology.

Welcome to Lisbon!

The 11th Postgraduate ZooArchaeology Forum will take place at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, from June 16 to 19, 2026.

The organizing committee is made up of six people. Four PhD students in Archaeology and Zooarchaeology (Patrícia Aleixo, Ana Beatriz Santos, Cátia Delicado, Miguel Rodrigues), one independent researcher  (Alexandre Paya) , and  a master student (João Monte).

The last Pzaf (10th) took place in Croatia in May 2023.

The PZAF has been growing and gaining recognition throughout Europe, providing the opportunity for several research students at the beginning of their careers to disseminate their work and projects to the community, enjoying exchanges of information and knowledge with their peers from different countries who are familiar with different realities.
