History
The Salmon P. Chase College of Law was founded in 1893 as an evening law school in Cincinnati, Ohio. The law school was named after Salmon P. Chase, a prominent lawyer, abolitionist, and politician who served as the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. The law school moved to Northern Kentucky University in 1972 and became fully accredited by the American Bar Association in 1975.
