ALCPT Form 1 to 100: What is it and how to use it?

The American Language Course Placement Test (ALCPT) is a standardized test that measures the English language proficiency of non-native speakers who want to enroll in the American Language Course (ALC). The ALC is a program that provides intensive English language training for military personnel from allied countries. The ALCPT is administered by the Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC) in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

The ALCPT consists of 100 multiple-choice questions that cover listening and reading skills. The test takers listen to short dialogues or monologues and answer questions based on what they hear. They also read short passages and answer questions based on what they read. The test takes about 50 minutes to complete and is scored on a scale of 10 to 100. The test score indicates the level of English language proficiency according to the DLIELC curriculum. The higher the score, the higher the level of proficiency.
