So we recently had a little staycation to test out the Antler Clifton medium suitcase. As I said, we normally travel with carry-on only, but as this was a little trip in the car, we thought it would be the perfect time to try out the medium size. Rather than take a bag each, for a one-night stay, we ended up deciding to put all of our luggage in one bag to make it easier. So it easily fit the luggage of myself, Chris and our 11-month-old Clara, and had plenty of space to spare. This could have actually been enough for all three of us for a much longer holiday.
Thank you to Antler for gifting us this beautiful Clifton Set. All opinions are our own. The main goal of our Antler luggage review is to help you decide what luggage is best for you and your travels.
Don't let luggage weigh you down. Meet Brixham: our lightest suitcase yet. Brixham stars a patent-pending, engineered construction, offering extremely lightweight strength and durability. Roll effortlessly through security with this streamlined Cabin bag.
Since I typically never check a bag on our normal travels (I sometimes make an exception during our annual multi-week stay in Russia) it's important to me that the carry-on pass muster with most airlines that I'm likely to fly, so that I'm not forced to check it. I abhor waiting around for luggage when arriving someplace, nor do I want to risk having the bag lost somewhere en route.
This review is strictly for the Antler Tiber Carry On case. I'm not sure how durable these light polycarbonate shells are for checked luggage, given the considerable abuse so much checked luggage comes in for at many airports, but at least as a wheeled cabin bag, I really like my Antler Tiber case. The Hinomoto wheels provide much smoother, quieter performance and seem sturdier than the wheels of all my prior luggage, and the case is ultra light. Sure, I miss the exterior pocket of my old Samsonite, but I use my laptop bag's pockets for organizing smaller items.
Antler is also planning a strategic international expansion. Previously, the brand was only active in the UK, and at the end of 2021, it regained the brand back in the Australian market that was previously held locally by a distributor. The luggage brand said it will build on its e-commerce store in Europe, which rolled out in May 2022, with plans to launch in the US in early 2023.
The taupe colour is definitely a little more high maintenance than a classic black but I do love how easy it is to spot my suitcase on the luggage carousel and (yes, ok, I admit it!) I also love that I can match my travel outfits and hand luggage to it.
The Clifton suitcases by Antler are so easy to push that one person can easily manoeuvre all 3 suitcases on their own. You can place the suitcases back to back and they easily glide around the airport with no problems at all. So while one adult deals with the luggage, the second adult can deal with the car seats and the kids!
