Who is the Book Fairy?
The VHELP Book Fairy is part student, parent, book fair volunteer, and librarian. She has always been a part of the Book Fair, but now we're taking the time to recognize her. She has existed through the generous donations from VHELP students, parents, and Book Fair Volunteers throughout the years to ensure every child at VHELP has a chance to purchase a book at the Book Fair. There are many times as parents we might forget to send money or things are tight and we just can't make it happen. However, we want ALL our VHELP students to have the same positive memories of the book fair that we did growing up. In order for our children to become life-long readers we need to build positive experiences with books and reading. This is an easy way!

Who benefits from the Book Fairy?
Any student that does not have money to purchase a book from the Book Fair during their class shopping time will benefit from the Book Fairy. The student, nor classmates, will know he/she has recieved money from the Book Fairy. This information is kept confidental and isn't shared with anyone, even the classroom teacher. We want all students to experience the joy in buying a book to keep for their home library.
If your child benefits from the Book Fair, please feel free to pay it forward in some way when the time is right.
Any remaining balances on the Book Fairy gift cards will be used to purchase books for the school library.
