Purpose
Purpose
The "Rec Tent" is located up the ramp by the waterslides. It is open Monday - Friday from 1pm - 5pm offering a variety of activities for children of all ages and abilities. The Rec Tent is a fun, safe space for all children to engage in a wide variety of activities. Details of weekly events will be posted on this site and at the front entrance of the pool, and announcements will be made over the loudspeaker throughout the day as events take place.
Activities are run by friendly, enthusiastic Community Pool staff members who aim to give all children a great experience when thye want to take a break from the sun and water.
ART PROJECT OF THE WEEK:
June 22 - June 26:
Paper plate animal masks - Choose an animal and make a mask with paper plates and construction paper.
June 29 - July 3:
Popsicle American Flags - Use paint to make red, white, and blue popsicles and then glue them together to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
DAILY OFFERINGS
Come up to the Rec Tent and ask a staff member to participate in one of our structured activities.
Story Time (Recommended ages 3 - 8):
Read a story with a staff member and then complete an activity based on the book.
Rainbow Loom: Create a bracelet using rainbow loom bands.
Board/Card Games: Choose from a variety of board games and card games and play with a staff member and other pool patrons.
Arts/Crafts: Use our supply of crayons, markers, paper, and other supplies to make your own masterpiece.
Outdoor Games: Hula hoops, cornhole, balls, ring toss, and more.
ATHLETICS
MONDAYS, 3:30PM: Basketball 🏀
Rec Tent staff will be on the basketball courts organizing team games, Knockout, Around the World, HORSE, and more. (Sneakers required)
TUESDAYS,3:30pm: Soccer ⚽
Rec Tent staff will host soccer games on the grass behind the volleyball courts. (closed toe footwear required)
WEDNESDAYS, 3:30pm: Volleyball 🏐
Rec Tent staff will host volleyball games on the new grass volleyball court. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
THURSDAYS, 3:30PM: Basketball 🏀

FRIDAYS, 3:30pm: Wiffle Ball 🧢
Rec Tent staff will host wiffle ball games on the grass behind the gazebo.
♻️The Verona Recreation Tent promotes sustainability by giving gently used items a second life. Donations of gently used items are welcome and may be placed in the collection box located in the pool's front lobby.
