I am thrilled to be entering my sixth year as a school counselor at Vermilion Elementary School! Elementary school is a pivotal time to recognize and support the individual needs of students and their families in order to set the foundation for long-term success. I am committed to implementing a comprehensive school counseling program through curriculum, individual student planning, preventive and responsive services, and system support.
To briefly highlight my academic background, I earned a Master of Education in School Counseling from Cleveland State University in 2021 and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2018. As an alumna of the Vermilion Local School District, I am honored to have the opportunity to give back to the community that helped shape me and to support future generations of fellow Sailors.
A fun fact about me is that if you have ever visited Big Ed's Soda Grill, there is a good chance I made your milkshake!
My husband and I welcomed a baby to our family this summer! I will begin the school year on maternity leave and plan to return in mid-November. During my absence, students and families will continue to be supported by our school staff. While I will miss the excitement of the start of the school year, I look forward to returning and supporting our students and families throughout the remainder of the year.
Go Sailors!
