Dear Senior Parents:

As graduation rapidly approaches, we want to take this opportunity to keep you informed of the various upcoming events.

Listed below is a schedule of graduation related events and the required attendance times for you and/or your child. This is TBD and will be updated as dates grow closer.

Senior Mass

  • St. Mary Magdalen Church
  • Friday, May 8, 2020
  • Arrival Time – 7:15 am. Liturgy begins at 7:30 am.
  • Seniors and Parents attend. Seating is the same as graduation.
  • Seniors should wear gowns (caps are not worn to Mass).
  • Boys should wear dark colored dress slacks & a white/light colored dress shirt with a coordinating tie.
  • Girls should wear a light/white dress or light/white dress shirt & slacks.

Honor Graduate Meeting

  • VC Room 104
  • Tuesday, May 12, 2020
  • Arrival Time – 12:15 pm
  • All honor graduates and one parent must attend.

Graduation Practice

  • St. Mary Magdalen Church
  • Friday, May 15, 2020 (tentative)
  • Arrival Time – TBD
  • Seniors attend. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. See pg. 12 of the VC Handbook.

Class Night Practice

  • VC Auditorium
  • Friday, May 15, 2020 (tentative)

Class Night

  • Sunday, May 17, 2020
  • Arrival Time – 6:30 pm. Ceremony begins at 7:00 pm.
  • Seniors and Parents attend. Seniors wear gown.
  • Each graduate will be introduced and given their cap, and honor graduates & Beta/NHS will receive stoles & cords.
  • Boys should wear dark colored dress slacks & a white/light colored dress shirt with a coordinating tie.
  • Girls should wear a light/white dress or light/white dress shirt & slacks.

Graduation

  • St. Mary Magdalen Church
  • Monday, May 18, 2020
  • Arrival Time – 6:15 pm. Ceremony begins at 7:00 pm.
  • Seniors and Parents attend. Seniors meet in cap and gown in the Ministries’ building.
  • Boys should wear dark colored dress slacks & a white/light colored dress shirt with a coordinating tie.
  • Girls should wear a light/white dress or light/white dress shirt & slacks.
  • Commencement speaker to be announced.

If anyone requires special seating for handicapped family members, please notify Ms. Duhon or Ms. Reba as soon as possible.

Please ensure that all students are appropriately dressed for all events. Boys must be clean shaven & have a haircut that meets uniform criteria for all graduation activities. Financial obligations must also be cleared with the Bookkeeper prior to senior exams.
