Centrality & Dispersion

If you know where I am, you don't know what I'm doing. If you know what I'm doing, you don't know were I am.

-The Isenberg Principle.

The analysis of data is largely focused on determining features related to the central tendency of the data (the mean, median, etc.), or its dispersion (variance, inner quantiles, etc.). In this section, we cover some rather basic approaches for gaining statistical inferences around univariate means and dispersion.
