Regression

In this section we move a bit beyond the notion or correlation by adding the layer of causation. If we are formally trying to predict the relationship between variables, we can use the techniques of equation building and least-squares to develop an estimate of how the systematic change in one or more variables influences the ability to describe variation in a 'response' variable.
