About me 

Hello, my name is Olivia Oppeltz, and I am super excited to be a Thunderhawk. I received my B.S. Degree in Mathematics for Teaching from UCLA and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, along with single-subject credentials in Mathematics, Physics, and General Science, from the University of San Diego.

Although this is my first year at VCMS, I bring experience as a student teacher at high schools in the San Marcos Unified and San Diego Unified school districts, as well as working as a substitute teacher in both middle and high schools. Those experiences have strengthened my love for teaching and my passion for helping students succeed in math. Math is a subject I have always loved, and I’m excited to share that enthusiasm with my students. My goal this year is to make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful for everyone. In our classroom, students can expect to be active participants- asking questions, thinking critically, and collaborating with their peers.
