ROP Sound Engineering and Audio Production

Sound is one of the most widely used skillsets in Arts, Media and Entertainment. Podcasting (the fastest growing media in the world), Radio, Television, Theater and Filmmaking all need audio skills that many colleges and career programs don’t teach in great depth. Students will learn elements of production and post-production audio mixing, recording, creating live and broadcast sound; commercial production; field recording; and audio for film/video. Students also learn workplace soft skills applicable to any field. Students may earn a Certificate of Completion upon completion and will build a portfolio of work across various disciplines that will assist in career readiness whether in broadcasting, podcasting, video/film production, theater, or the music industry.
