Hello, my name is Tammy Schubart and I am the new school counselor at Windsor Woods Elementary. Although this is my first year at WWES, it is not my first year as a school counselor. This year will be my twenty third with Virginia Beach Schools! A little history about me... I grew up in a small town in West Virginia. I am a graduate of Shepherd College (B.A. in psychology) and West Virginia University (M.A. in school counseling)--GOOOOO MOUNTAINEERS! My husband, Ryan Schubart, also works for Virginia Beach Schools. We have two children, Maxwell and Harrison, and a Golden Retriever named Millie. I spent two years as a school counselor in WV before moving to Virginia Beach. Once I moved here, my first school counseling position was at First Colonial High School in 1999 where I spent fifteen years working with high school students. I was ready for a change, and decided to transfer to Tallwood Elementary School, where I worked for seven years. When I found out there was an opening at Windsor Woods this year, I jumped on it! I have heard amazing things about this school and am so excited to be here. I truly enjoy being a school counselor and have loved every school and every grade level. After being at WWES for the summer learning program, I feel like I am home. When I am not at working, I enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, and laughing.   I look forward to making memories with the families at WWES!
