The Easy Way
As always my first recommendation for getting anywhere is to use google maps - I'm fundamentally lazy and make no apologies on that front.
If you're using maps - follow this Link.
But of that's not your thing, please see below;
Step 1: Get to Dublin (Skip if already in Dublin)
Car: Please find the nearest motorway - I'm told they basically all go to Dublin
I've included a picture of which ones go from where - Ideally find someone who knows the way and drive safe!
Train: Pretty much all train tracks go to Dublin, You may require a changeover but its pretty straightforward. Check Irish Rail for details and to book tickets.
Step 2: Get to UCD
Car: Go south side on the M50 and get off at junction 13 or 14 and go through Dundrum/Churchtown, to the N11 and then into UCD. There are signs but it easier to use Maps or have a Friend who know the way.
Bus: From the City Centre there are multiple Dublin Bus buses that will take you to UCD: 145, 46a, 39a, 11.
Luas: The nearest stop is Windy Arbour on the Green Luas Line. but its still a 20-25 walk to Vaticon from there - easier to take the bus.
Step 3: Get to the Student Centre
So you're at UCD - which is a mostly pedestrianized campus by the way.
Car: This is a bit tricky to explain - see "Parking" below
All others see Map below;
The 145, 46a will drop you off at the N11 Entrance.
The 39a will drop you off at the St. Stephens Chaplaincy
The 11 will drop you off at the Clonskeagh Entrance.
UCD has 2 types of parking places: Permit and Hourly Pay.
Permit requires you to be UCD Student or Staff - Avoid these as you may get clamped.
Hourly Pay does not apply at the weekends during Vaticon so park in these areas - there's one behind Tierney and behind Agriculture (See Map)
