How it make a recording with Meet -- Note this is not usually available for free but is through July.

We have the full version of Edulastic at Vantage. You log in with your Google credential. This formative and summative assessment tool syncs with your Google Classroom roster and allows you to create or select assessments. With the SnapQuiz feature, turn a paper assessment into a digital one.


IMPORTANT NOTE WHEN ASSIGNING YOUTUBE VIDEOS

Google Classroom teachers have the ability to APPROVE Youtube videos. You can assume that almost all Youtube videos will NOT be approved for Vantage students. As you are selecting video content, click the Approve button in the blue bar.

Any type of file can be moved to Google Drive. You can create files in drive or upload files to Drive. For example, a scanned copy of a section of a textbook that is now a PDF can be uploaded to the Drive and then shared out via Classroom.

Create a notifications group in the Vantage App.

  1. Let Mary Ann Falk know you want to create an app notification group. She will create an account for you.

  2. Use this guide to set up your notifications.

  3. Have your students download the to their smartphone and join your notification group.

Screencastify is another tool to record a lesson you are doing on screen and share with students. They have curated some great resources.

The Smartboard Recorder can also record anything you do on your computer screen or capture what you are writing on your Smartboard or Smart IFP.

If you are totally overwhelmed with moving your curriculum online, know this... you can't do online exactly what you did before. It is not like converting a word doc to PDF. You're classroom does not work like that. This is a shift in how teaching and learning will occur. Please take some time to look at this resource from John Spencer.
