The Vancouver Music Organization supports a variety of chamber ensembles, each bringing unique musical styles and performances to our community. Each chamber ensemble is sponsored by one of our programs (Concert, Jazz or Marching) and allows our members to explore music written for specific instrumentation.
Jazz Combo (VCJC)
Jazz Combo (VCJC)
The jazz combo consists of 3-4 horns and a rhythm section. Performing year-round, the ensemble serves as an ambassador for jazz performance. Sponsored by our Jazz program.
Polka Band
Polka Band
The polka band performs for local Oktoberfest events. As a seasonal ensemble, rehearsals are limited and members must complete an interest form each year. Sponsored by our Concert program.
Trumpet Ensemble
Trumpet Ensemble
The trumpet ensemble performs for local patriotic and fanfare events. Members are contacted as gigs are scheduled and rehearsals are limited. Sponsored by our Marching program.
Woodwinds anonymous
Woodwinds anonymous
This ensemble is reserved for those who play woodwind instruments. Unless specifically needed for a part, brass is not needed. Sponsored by our Concert program.
