Mrs. Chamberlain's Classroom

Welcome!

I am excited to be at Vale High School teaching students about an industry, that in my opinion, is the most important- Agriculture! We all have to eat don't we??!!!

A Little About Me....

I was born and raised on a farm in Central Alberta, where my family raised registered Charolais cattle, commercial cattle and grew crops such as alfalfa hay, wheat, barley, canola and peas. I was a product of 4-H and showed steers and heifers at our County Achievement day for eight years. It was during my childhood that I came to realize the significance of the agriculture industry and through various experiences and contacts I discovered my passion for agriculture.

I was fortunate to attend Linn Benton Community College where I obtained my associated degree in Agriculture and I also had the awesome opportunity to compete on the college's competitive livestock judging team. In time, I realized I wanted to pursue a Bachelor's degree and Oregon State University (OSU) was a logical next step for me. It was at OSU that I discovered my second passion in life and this is working with, and educating youth! My teaching career began when I was student teaching on Condon, Oregon.

Upon completion of my Master's degree, I took my first position at Crane Union High School. During my third year of teaching, I met my husband, a Vale graduate and after marrying, I moved with him to Jordan Valley where I taught two more years before we moved back to Willowcreek and I worked for the OSU Malheur County Extension Office as the county livestock specialist.

In 2012, I was blessed with another Agricultural Education teaching position in Adrian. I remained there for five years, until the opportunity to teach in Vale became available, and I chose to teach in what I hope will be my last high school ever!

Jeremy and I have been blessed with three terrific kids; Greta, Nolan and Cooper and we are all fortunate to be involved in production agriculture where we raise commercial cattle, hay and corn. There is no better place top raise a family then in rural, Eastern Oregon!
