Hajj

In Year 2, Spring 1 the children learn about Islam and consider whether praying at regular intervals helps a Muslim in his/her everyday life. In Summer 1, they then consider if going to a mosque to pray gives Muslims a sense of community.

The children revisit Islam in Year 6 when they  look at the best way for Muslims to show commitment to God and whether a belief in Akhirah (life after death) helps Muslim to lead good lives.
