How do I Enroll In The Program?
NJROTC is an elective class. The class counts as a PE credit and as an elective credit for all four years. NJROTC is one of Cienega's CTE classes;helping students develop practical skills, explore career options, and prepare for both collage and careers.
What Cadet Gear Is Provided?
What Cadet Gear Is Provided?
During registration parents will pay a 20$ fee for all of the provided gear. Cover, shoes, uniform shirt and pants, devices, navy issued pt gear including sweatpants and hoodie during winter are all included.

What Does The Commitment In The Program Look Like?
NJROTC is about having the willingness to involve yourself in the program. The first couple of weeks are a slow transition into what goes on in the program; teaching basic knowledge such as drill, chain of command, naval terminoligy, and uniform. Once we get going we have a set schedule of drill on Monday, physical training on Tuesday and Thursday, uniform on Wednesday, and academics on Friday.

A commonly asked question people have before joining NJROTC is do I have to join the military afterwards or is it a recruiting program? The simple answer is no NJROTC is not a recruiting program nor do you have to join the military afterwards but if you wish to join, are looking to go to college, or become an officer in the military, we have many resources and scholarship aids that we can provide you with throughout the program!

Community service is not required but is certainly a fun way to get out into the community with a helping hand and be more involved in our program. The community service form can be found in our cadet resources as well as on our band!

Teams are not required to join or sign up for. Practices are posted on band and the calendar ; all are welcomed and encouraged to show up. If you have any additional questions regarding our teams or practices feel free to contact us!
