Julia Warren

Julia is an alto saxophonist originally from Montréal, Canada now residing in Maastricht. She has performed professionally with all kinds of popular music, from jazz to hiphop to heavy metal! Above and below it all, she is a masterful improvisor with a deep sound. Her teaching method uses anything the student is inspired by - she uses the student's favourite songs as a vehicle to learn music theory and saxophone technique. In group lessons, she uses the Soundpainting sign language to guide students into fearless music making! She is a kind and honest person who wants to inspire the next gen. Julia holds a Master's in Music, as well as her many experiences working as a producer, bandleader, side-person, and of course, teacher.
