Q: What are your physics/science interests?
I’m broadly interested in using physics to better understand topics in chemistry or biology. I like the idea of using physics principles to build models describing chem/biochem, and of computational approaches that push our understanding of larger systems. Experimentally, I also find single-molecule biophysics really interesting.
Q: What are your other interests?
I love growing plants, exploring nature, and consuming trashy time travel sci-fi shows. I like music, namely quirky indie bands like Metric and Sohodolls or random French or Ukrainian songs. I’ve also developed a boba addiction in recent years.
Q: What would you like to do after college?
I want to go to grad school, and eventually work in academia and become a professor.
Q: Tell us one strange but interested fact about yourself?
Not very interesting but I hate the sound of paper ripping
Q: What first sparked your interest in Physics?
I’m not sure. I’ve always loved science, and by the time I thought about which area to go into I already believed that physics felt the most real, the most important in order to understand the world around us.
Q: If you could have any pet, what would it be?
A cute bird like a cockatiel
Q: If you had a free month and unlimited funds, how would you spend your time?
Definitely traveling: maybe Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Croatia, or New Zealand and pacific island hopping
Q: If you could get a grant to study anything, what would it be?
I’m fascinated by the origin of life. With unlimited funding I’d want to do research in that field and study how abiogenesis was possible.
