Q: What are your physics/science interests?
Applied physics, plasma physics, magnetic and inertial confinement fusion.
Q: What are your other interests?
Hiking, reading, coffee, and amateur rocketry.
Q: What would you like to do after college?
I’m interested in going to graduate school for applied physics.
Q: Tell us one strange but interesting fact about yourself?
I’ve gone skydiving but have never been on a roller coaster.
Q: What first sparked your interest in Physics?
Very first spark was third grade learning about the solar system. I became very obsessed with astronomy. My second spark was taking a waves and optics class in college. I started reading the Feynman lectures in parallel to my classes and became once again fascinated.
Q: If you could have any pet, what would it be?
A ferret and a cat, but they’d have to get along and the ferret preferably isn’t stinky.
Q: If you had a free month and unlimited funds, how would you spend your time?
Donate as much as I can without destroying the economy, buy a nice coffee machine, and travel around Europe by train.
Q: If you could get a grant to study anything, what would it be?
Novel fusion confinement methods. While it is a bit of a money pit, there's a lot of really interesting and barely or unexplored methods for confining plasma.
